The Qingdao Amerasia International School community came together to celebrate the achievements of our MYP 5 students as they marked the completion of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and prepared for the exciting journey ahead. 

Mr. Rafa Zamorano Verdu delivered the keynote address, encouraging students as they prepare for the next stage of their academic and personal growth. 

A highlight of the ceremony was the heartfelt speeches delivered by graduates Serena and Özge. Reflecting on their journey together, Serena shared, “When we first arrived in the MYP as a class, we were nervous and unsure about where the future would bring us. Over time, we learned not only from our classes, but also from our experiences.” She spoke about the friendships, challenges, and unforgettable moments that helped shape the graduating class. 

Özge reflected on the uncertainty that often accompanies growing up, sharing, “Maybe that’s what these years were really about. Not having everything figured out. Being uncertain about the future, but still learning how to move forward.” She reminded her classmates that the moments they would miss most were often the everyday experiences that quietly became treasured memories. 

Students also prepared a heartwarming performance of See You Again, a fitting tribute to the friendships and connections built throughout their MYP journey.
