MSU Chamber Orchestra visits QAIS!

This afternoon, QAIS had a very special visit from the Missouri State University Chamber Orchestra. The ten-member ensemble of string instruments introduced and played songs from Bach, Dello Joio, and Wang Yi, and even shared an original composition by their conductor, Amy Muchnick. Students from Grades 1-12 were treated to a private performance – in fact, QAIS was the first stop on their first-ever China tour!

It was a treat to hear such gorgeous music filling the auditorium (including an original composition by a Qingdaonese MSU student). We are pleased to open our QAIS facilities to exciting international performances!
