UN International Day of Peace

Amerasia students celebrated the UN International Day of Peace, exploring the theme in ways that reflected their age, creativity, and voices.

In Toddler and Early Childhood, children focused on the theme “Take Action for World Peace.” They began with a silent peace march and a thoughtful discussion about what peace means:“Peace helps everyone feel safe and loved.”“Peace means solving problems with our words.”

Students brought the idea of peace to life through breathing exercises, shared hugs, role-play, and two beautiful peace songs that remind us to send love and peace to children everywhere.

Elementary students celebrated Peace Day with an energetic program inspired by this year’s theme, Thrive. After sharing what peace means to them, they played the lively “Corners” game, teamed up for a “Finding Common Ground” relay, and reflected on how similarities unite us. Each class then decorated a giant puzzle piece to show how they can Thrive together in peace—soon to be joined into a whole-school mural.

Upper School marked the day through a collaborative art mural, where students designed and painted a powerful image of a peace tree – representing unity, kindness, and hope for the future. They also sang songs of peace and reflected on how their voices and actions can contribute to a more peaceful world.

Students showed that peace is not just for one day—it is something we can live every day through kindness, respect, and collaboration.
