Grade 4 students brought learning to life through their unit celebration, “Living History: The World of Famous Explorers,” from the transdisciplinary theme Where We Are in Place and Time.
Through student-led exhibits, presentations, prepared writing and maps, students explored why people explore, how exploration has changed over time, and the impact it has on our world.
Students selected explorers such as James Cameron, Amelia Earhart, and Jacques Cousteau, researched their lives, and confidently presented well-developed written work and visual displays. In the process, they demonstrated strong research, thinking, and self-management skills, while embodying the learner profile attributes of being knowledgeable, open-minded, and courageous.
We are incredibly proud of our young explorers and the curiosity, confidence, and insight they shared with our community.
