The Montessori Toddler Program at Qingdao Amerasia International School is the only program of its kind in Asia, accredited by the American Montessori Society and supported by best practices in preschool education.

The program allows each toddler to take full advantage of her developmental desire to explore and discover the world around her. The Montessori materials in the classroom are specially designed to engage children according to their interests at this stage. We also provide indoor and outdoor spaces for children’s gross motor development (including running, jumping, climbing, tumbling, etc) which the children have access to multiple times per day.

Individualized attention is achieved by our low student/teacher ratio of 4:1. All of our teachers have undergraduate degrees and extensive experience in the classroom, and the two lead teachers hold an Infant/Toddler Montessori Credential from the American Montessori Society (AMS).

We highly value our close working relationships with our families. This partnership is fostered through ongoing, personal communication as well as two formal conferences each year.
