During Literacy Week, MYP and DP students and staff came together to celebrate the power of language, voice, and storytelling across our school community. Drawing from Amerasia’s rich multilingual landscape, students and teachers shared poetry in their mother tongues, including poems in Welsh, Japanese, Afrikaans, Finish, Persian, Papiamento, Romanian, and many more.
Students transformed corridors, classrooms, and communal spaces into places of reading, listening, and creative expression. There was also a communal poetry making station, and a culminating Literacy Station Event to spark a lifelong love of reading!
