Candy X., MYP 5, hosted an Art Exhibition as part of her Personal Project. The Personal Project enables students to engage in practical explorations through a cycle of inquiry, action, and reflection. Candy’s exhibition titled “Into Your World,” successfully showcased artwork by students from the Laoshan District Special Educational School, as well as her own personal creations, with the aim of creating. Collaborating with the students, she celebrated their creativity and provided them with a platform to express themselves. The artworks were produced in an art therapy class she held at the Laoshan District Special Educational School. The exhibition also provided a meaningful opportunity for Laoshan District Special Educational School’s students to sell baked goods and tea they made, highlighting the students’ creativity and abilities to contribute meaningfully to their community. Candy’s dedication and compassion exemplified the power of art to enrich lives, promote awareness, and break barriers. Her project stands as a testament to the profound impact one individual can make when driven by creativity, empathy, and a sense of community.
