The DP1 Theory of Knowledge (ToK) Exhibition was a celebration of critical thinking and inquiry as students connected real-world objects to complex themes such as knowledge, perspective, ethics, and truth.
As part of the exhibition, students selected one prompt from a choice of 35 knowledge questions before choosing three real-world objects to explore how Theory of Knowledge manifests in everyday life. Questions included: “What role does imagination play in producing knowledge about the world?” and “On what grounds might we doubt a claim?”
Students explored a wide range of objects including VR headsets, Salvador Dalí’s melting clocks, Bible passages, IB textbooks, the autobiography of Bill Gates and more.
Through these objects, students examined how knowledge is shaped by culture, experience, belief systems, creativity, and evidence.
