Grade 4 students recently visited the Qingdao Science and Technology Museum to support their current Unit of Inquiry under the theme How the World Works. In this unit, students are exploring the central idea that energy can be transformed, stored, or used for industrial and personal applications.
During the visit, students interacted with a variety of hands-on exhibits that helped them explore their lines of inquiry, including types of energy, where energy comes from, and how energy is transferred. The experience allowed students to see how these scientific concepts operate in real-world technologies and everyday life.
Experiences like this one help bring classroom learning to life, encouraging curiosity and helping students deepen their understanding of how energy shapes the world around them.
