Qingdao Amerasia International School recently welcomed student-athletes and coaches from across the city to participate in the Qingdao Community Basketball Camp, held in the school’s state-of-the-art gymnasium. The camp served both as a pre-season training opportunity and a celebration of community, collaboration, and shared values on and off the court. 

The day began with a warm welcome, as coaches set clear expectations and emphasized core values such as safety, teamwork, sportsmanship, and mutual respect. Following a dynamic warm-up, athletes rotated through skill stations focused on ball handling, shooting, passing, defense, and agility. Friendly competitions throughout the morning encouraged players to test their abilities in a supportive and engaging environment. 

In the afternoon, mixed-level scrimmages gave students the opportunity to apply what they had learned, demonstrating cooperation, resilience, and respect on the court. The camp concluded with reflection and recognition, reinforcing the idea that sport brings people together, nurtures leadership, and builds bridges across schools and backgrounds.
