QIBD : Qingdao International Baccalaureate Dads
The Inaugural QIBD (Qingdao International Baccalaureate Dads) event marked the beginning of a powerful new chapter at QAIS and across the Baishan Education Group. The event, titled “The Return on Investment of an IB Education” brought together over 50 fathers for a morning of meaningful conversation, connection, and vision-setting.
The highlight of the morning was a panel of Amerasia dads representing every stage of the IB journey; from Montessori to Diploma Program graduates. Each shared real insights into how IB learning was not just shaping their children’s academic futures but also helping them become more confident, curious, and internationally minded.
Beyond the formal discussions, the event sparked something even greater: recognition that fathers want and deserve a more active role in their children’s educational journey. From casual conversations over coffee to in-depth exchanges about leadership, business, and parenting, the energy was clear: Dads want to be part of something bigger.
Numerous dads expressed a strong interest in helping grow the QIBD community into a lasting, father-led initiative. Now, QIBD is inviting more dads to join as we form our first leadership team and shape a year of purposeful events, networking opportunities, and impact-driven projects.
