The QAIS U19 Basketball teams proudly represented QAIS at the 2026 ACAMIS Basketball Tournament in Xiamen, competing over three action-packed days of high-level international competition. Both teams demonstrated resilience, growth, and a strong competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
The U19 Girls’ team delivered an outstanding performance, advancing to the finals and finishing 2nd overall! Their tournament included dominant wins, highlighted by their highest-scoring victories against CIS (27–10) and ISA (22–8). Charlotte (DP 2) led offensively with an impressive 19-point performance against ISA, alongside strong rebounding and defensive presence. Charlotte (DP 2) and Ayumi (DP 1) consistently anchored the team with the highest rebounds, steals, and defensive contributions throughout the tournament, earning them recognition as Girls’ Tournament MVPs for their composure, teamwork, and high-level execution.
The U19 Boys’ team battled through a demanding round-robin schedule to finish 4th overall, showing confidence and determination against strong opposition. Tom (DP 2) and Allan (MYP 4) stood out offensively and were named Boys’ Tournament MVPs. Tom led the team with multiple double-digit performances, including 21 points against ISB and 18 points versus CIS, while Allan provided crucial scoring support with 18 points against ISB and 13 points against CIS, alongside strong defensive and rebounding contributions.
